Bitcoin is only 16 years old, and officially all that is known about the creator of the first cryptocurrency is that, under the name Satoshi Nakamoto, he published his famous Bitcoin whitepaper.

The more I read about this topic, the more I became fascinated by Satoshi’s vision: a separation of state and money, the disempowerment of the banking cartel, money that is entirely in the hands of the people, a network anyone can participate in, a limited form of money—digital gold.

After Satoshi’s idea spread like wildfire among computer enthusiasts around the world, more and more programmers, cryptographers, and blockchain experts began to consider what other problems this technology could solve.

The development is still in its infancy, but I see a future in which cryptocurrencies will form a significant part of our planet’s digital infrastructure.

My goal, therefore, is to help as many people as possible benefit from these early developments and to present the most important information in a clear and concise way.
